All Terry Rich Australia swim shirts are made using highly advanced Nylon Xtra Life LYCRA which resists fabric breakdown more than 5 times longer than the average chlorine-resistant spandex. This is critical for UV swimwear and rash vest as they are exposed to salty sea water, harsh chlorines and strong UV sun rays during their lifetime and will fail quickly if not constructed of technically advanced fabrics. Xtra Life LYCRA is built specifically to withstand these exposures.

Care instructions for Nylon Xtra Life LYCRA

Washing: gentle machine wash at 40 degree C. Bleaching: Do not use chlorine based bleach. Ironing: Maximum sole-plate temperature of 110 degree C. NEVER iron the branding logos. Drying: Avoid spin drying. Squeeze off excess water or delicate spin. Hang to dry in shade. To prolong the life of your product we also suggest you:
– Rinse well in cool, fresh water after use
– Dry out of redirect sunlight
– Do not pack or store while wet
– Be careful not to catch on rough surfaces such as concrete and swimming pool edges

PLEASE NOTE whilst the fabric will hold it’s shape well in chlorinated water, chlorine remains very harsh on fabric colour and can also effect colourfastness when chlorine levels are high. For garment colour longevity and to avoid colourfast issues ensure rash vest is washed thoroughly in fresh water after exposure to chlorinated water and avoid heavily chlorinated pools where possible.
